Green Roofs Taking Off in U.S.

Green roofs, long used in Europe, are now seeing greater use on U.S. apartment complexes, shopping centers and office buildings. These roofs increasingly serve double duty as parks, cafes and athletic fields. They also last longer than traditional roofs, with an average 50-year lifespan.
