Partial Roof Repairs Help End Leaks at Ill. County Courthouse

Partial repairs to the roof of the historic Menard County Courthouse in Illinois have helped stop leaks. A section of the roof on the 118-year-old building has new metal shingles and copper work, which cost more than $323,000. The leaky courthouse dome has not yet been repaired because the work could cost more than half a million dollars, said Menard County coordinator Steve Duncan.
