Construction sector added 12,000 jobs in Oct.


Non-farm payrolls were up 214,000 in October, Friday's data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics state. This was slightly below economists' expectations of between 231,000 and 243,000. The construction sector added 12,000 jobs. The unemployment rate decreased from 5.9% to 5.8%. The number of jobs added in August and September was revised upward by 31,000 as well.
