Illinois Central College Sports Complex Adds Green Roof

The CougarPlex at Illinois Central College has added a green roof to reduce heat during the summer and insulate the sports facility during the winter. "I think that if we are not the first, [then] we are one of the first in the area," said Troy Hattermann, ICC's director of facility planning and design. "I think there might be some other ones out there now. I think it's a trend that is catching on."
