A building at Napa High School in California has been repurposed as a technology center for students, staff and the community. Quattrocchi Kwok Architects and Lathrop Construction Associates preserved the building's historic look by carefully removing the Spanish-style red clay roofing tiles so they could be reused. The Hamburg Historical Museum in Michigan will get a new roof thanks to the Hamburg Township Historical Society's Raise the Roof campaign. The project involved lifting and rotating portions of the roof so they could be placed in a new configuration. An I-beam support and manufactured trusses also were installed, allowing a new roof to be constructed over part of the building. From NRCA Trenton H. Federal Reserve officials announced Dec. 16 that they unanimously voted to raise short-term interest rates 0.25 percentage points; this is the first increase since June 2006. Dodge Data & Analytics' 2016 Construction Outlook report noted that long-term rate increases likely will be gradual and predicted slow but steady expansion for the overall construction industry in 2016.
