Construction Industry Likely Will Expand Despite The Fed Increasing Interest Rates
Federal Reserve
officials announced Dec. 16 that they unanimously voted to raise short-term
interest rates 0.25 percentage points; this is the first increase since June
2006. Dodge Data & Analytics' 2016 Construction Outlook report noted that
long-term rate increases likely will be gradual and predicted slow but steady
expansion for the overall construction industry in 2016.
