Student Researches Ball Moss as Green Roof Material

William Niendorff, an alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin, is researching ball moss as a potential green roof material. "One of the greatest things about [the plants] is that they don't need soil at all, which means that if you're using them for a type of green wall or green roof, you don't have to worry about that extra weight on the structure," Niendorff said.
