Proposed Tax-Code Changes Would Directly Affect Small Businesses

Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., has begun releasing specific
proposals to revamp the U.S. tax code. Many of the provisions will directly
affect small businesses, this article notes. These include permanently doubling
the amount companies can immediately expense when investing in certain fixed
assets, lowering the corporate tax rate and changing accounting rules for small
businesses.
