U.S. Housing Starts Down Sharply
Despite expectations constrained by record cold
weather, construction starts in the key U.S. housing market came in at the low
end of expectations in January, down 16% from December. Meanwhile, U.S.
producer prices rose 0.2% month-to-month, bringing the gain over the past 12
months to 1.2%.
