Why Retractable Roofs are Less Advantageous for Football Stadiums
Despite
their popularity, retractable roofs are less advantageous for most football
stadiums. A recent report indicates that through 2012, 66% of games played in
NFL stadiums with retractable roofs were played indoors. In addition,
retractable roofs cost $25 million to $150 million more than current roofing
alternatives.
